Pine Island is a barrier Island on the Gulf coast of South West Florida.

Pine Island is a well kept secret as it does not have the traffic jams and mass tourism of it's more famous neighbour Sanibel. The island is a mass producer of mango and palm trees so you can imagine it's beauty. If you are looking for a laid back vacation in the real Florida then Pine Island is for you. With only a 10 minute drive to Cape Coral and a further 15 minutes to Fort Myers you are never far away from the shops and restaurants, although Pine Island boasts some excellent restaurants of its own. Pine Island can best be described as tranquil and natural. The house is right on the beautiful Alden Pines tropical golf course, the golf club also has tennis courts available.
